Hi, I am Dale Frank Pushee and I was recently appointed as the Executive Officer for the Order of DeMolay in Vermont. A position which I take great pride in! Anytime that we are given the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life and especially in the lives of our future generations, we should be most thankful and give it 100% of our effort!

Teddy Bear Raffle

During the month of January, we commissioned The Vermont Teddy Bear Company
to create a one-of-a-kind Custom-Made Teddy Bear that would be representative of
a member of DeMolay in order to raise money for our Jurisdiction by raffling it off.
The Bear, who we have at this point, affectionately named “Jacques”, is 15” tall and
wears a very distinguished business suit with a sporty red tie. His cape is detachable
and he also comes with a pillow that has “Crown of Youth” embroidered on
it. Dad David Gulbrandsen is working to create a scaled version of the actual
Crown of Youth, and will be showcased in a future newsletter. This raffle is open
not only here in Vermont, but throughout all of DeMolay International. We hope that
everyone will agree that this is a great opportunity to potentially win a very unique
keepsake of our young men’s time as a DeMolay. Please help us out by purchasing
a raffle ticket or 10!

More information and a ticket for the raffle can be found in the March 2008 Newsletter on Page 2

2008 Uncle Fund

2007 was our first year with the Uncle Fund and proved to be a great start to the program!

Your donations last year helped to pay for the submission of new Adult Worker Applications at a cost of $48.00 each as well as training material for them, which we had 11 new Advisors in 2007. A portion of your contributions helped to defray the travel expenses that were required to attend the annual Executive Officer’s Conference and the DeMolay Annual Session; it allowed me to distribute checks in the amount of $400.00 to each to the chapters that were established or being established throughout the state; we were able to purchase many items for the Young Men of DeMolay such as Leadership Training Guides, Ritual Books, and Merit Bars as well as to enroll them in the Leadership Correspondence Course, and of course, to cover the cost of our insurance, which was just under $1,000.00 for the year.

To those of you who contributed last year:
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!

We hope that all of you will be able to spare
$1.00 or more to support our programs. We
look forward to continuing our progress towards
building a brighter tomorrow!
THANK YOU ALL!!!!

More information regarding the Uncle Fund can be found on Page 8 of the March 2008 Newsletter.
